Oh, hello! I didn’t see you there. Sorry we haven’t been around much lately. We’ve been busy getting ready for our big FREE COMIC BOOK DAY Sale, the details of which are already posted around the store, and will be forthcoming here within the next few days. Keep an eye out for that.

New comics! Get some!

There is a Wolverine comic this week, and it’s a first issue. I can’t remember the last time there was a first issue of a Wolverine comic. It has to have been almost a month since the last one.

Seriously, though, this should be good. Paul Cornell and Alan Davis is a strong creative team. Check it out and let us know what you think, along with the rest of this week’s new releases.

The Age of Ultron begins this week! Brian Bendis and Bryan Hitch’s universe-spanning Avengers epic kicks off with a bang. You won’t want to miss this one. Unless you’re not a Marvel fan. In which case, please to enjoy Archie meets Glee!

Welcome back! Last week your faithful webmaster was kidnapped by ninjas and taken to a backwoods shack, where he was held, bound and gagged, and occasionally waterboarded, Zero Dark Thirty-style, into spoiling the end of Batman #17. I endured, though, never revealing a word of what happens in that critical issue, until I was finally rescued by an elite team of specially-trained operatives – namely, Jason and Jeremy.

This week’s a doozy, with the finale of “Death of the Family” in Batman #17 and the premiere of a new Uncanny X-Men series from Marvel. Check out the full list of new releases below! And watch out for ninjas.

The first month of 2013 is coming to a close already. Didn’t this year just start last week? So weird.

Anyway, enjoy the penultimate day of January with some new comics!

All three Green Lantern books come out today. If those are the only books you buy, enjoy the rest of your month. Also, why don’t you read more comics? There’s a lot of good ones out there. Young Avengers, for example, which just so happens to come out today.
